This painting was originally a commission. It is a part of a series celebrating the beauty of winter in New Hampshire’s Crawford Notch. This piece depicts some of the classic and beloved ice climbs at Frankenstein. I enjoyed indulging myself in really getting into the nuance of the sunlight hitting the ice, and the tiny trees poking through the snow.
